Spring Fling

Posted on May 10 2016

It's that time of year again! Each weekend gets progressively nicer weather-wise (hopefully we're not jinxing anything here...) and social calendars are full of weddings, showers, graduation parties, backyard barbecues, and countless outdoor outings.

The anticipation of these fun celebrations can be dampened by the whole what-to-wear thing. It's not easy to find a great spring outfit! These days, you can't just have that one great pastel dress because social media drives the need for newness (or at least some outfit rotation).
To help you answer the age old what-to-wear question, we've put together a few guidelines to help shop for that perfect look for your spring fling-  as well as some of our favorite looks from our showroom.
1. Don't be scared of prints!
There is nothing that says "special occasion" like a colorful print. Prints get a bad name. While we wouldn't suggest wearing these palazzo pants to a corporate work environment, you can get a lot of wear out of bold prints this spring. Choose one for a those outdoor occasions and pairing them with great foundation pieces, like the PLY Seamed Yoke Top

2. Yes, you can wear white.
Mostly, it's advisable to adhere to the "don't wear white to a wedding or wedding shower" rule. But a crisp white can go a long way! A white bottom or top won't aggravate the bride one bit. White pants up the chic factor when paired with our sweet embellished neck yellow crop top. A sleek white button-down lightens up this great navy scuba skirt

Shop the Buttercup Scallop Hem Embellished Crop Top and the Blanca Tapered Pant.

3. Girly pink is for everyone.
Don't worry about looking too sweet in all pink, it's the color of the season. You can't go wrong with a great shaped dress in any shade of pink. If your style is on the edgier side, add some grit to your look with your shoes and accessories. Style a sweet dress with some edge, and you have the perfectly balanced look. We love this scuba dress with cutouts, it's universally flattering and totally comfortable. This peach burn out dress will have the other guests going gaga.
Now that you know what to wear, don't forget to RSVP yes to the event!
