Intern Files: White Moto Jacket, from Day to Night
Posted on October 03 2014
I took the jacket with me for a full day of classes and a night out on the town.
In between classes, I got lunch and study time in with my friend Torrence, who snapped some shots of me in the jacket.
Since we've still been having some nice weather in NYC, I could wear the jacket with my favorite light printed pants and sandals.
If you like these pants, check out the Cinzia Pant by Cabiria.
I love the gold zippers and details on this jacket!
Two classes and a midterm later, I headed home and got changed into a look to go out in. I switched out my patterned pants for Lysse leggings.
The second I pulled on these leggings, I fell in love! I had felt them before in our stock room, but this was the first time I put them on. I was so comfy sitting on the train (and a bit bored) that I made a list of why I love them!
I chose the Liya Center Seam Leggings by Lysse. But all of the leggings are cool- some come with zipper details and leather paneling. I want to live in them!
I wore my leggings and jacket with a crop top, black booties, and gold jewelry to play up the gold detailing in the jacket.
I left my neighborhood and headed to meet up with some more friends in the East Village. (Like I said last week, friends with roof access are friends to keep!)
Gotta love living in Chinatown!
This jacket is even super cute zipped up! I love the lines in the jacket, they draw the eye down and are really flattering. Not to mention the arms are roomy, which can be hard to find in trendy coats.
Who doesn't love a good rooftop party with good company? We took some pictures in our matching leather jackets.
And a few cute coupley pictures.
Wearing this outfit was so fun. The white jacket is unexpected but not difficult to wear, and sticks out in a sea of black. New Yorkers love black!
I loved the leggings with the crop top! The leggings have a perfect waistline, it sits above my belly button and smoothes out everything, and a crop top paired with it lets just a little bit of skin show.
What I love about crop tops is how flattering they can be. I love to belt dresses at the waist to give them some shape. With a crop top, my skin acts like a visual belt. The best belt is no belt at all!
Looking for a crop top? Try the Zelie for She crop top from our sister site, Madison Plus Select.
This jacket stands out but is a great addition to any wardrobe. White is a classic, clean, neutral color.
Here's another way I would wear the Harlem Moto Jacket:
I love a flowy maxi dress paired with a structured jacket! Wear the Miles Maxi Dress by Lauren Moshi under the MYNT 1792 Harlem Moto in white. Play up the gold in the jacket with some gold jewelry, and add booties to bring the look into fall.
Fall days get cozier in cozy clothes! I love leggings + sweaters in the fall.
Pair the Lysse Leggings with a cozy and cute chunky sweater. If you pick a patterned or textured legging, throw on a basic sweater. Otherwise, wear a sweater with texture like the Road Blouse by Carmakoma. Throw on boots, a bag, a patterned scarf, and even a trendy hat to really bring this look up to date.
Until next time, gorgeous.
Keep an eye out for a sale on behalf of founder Aimee's birthday, this week!
