Designer Spotlight: Jewelry By Boe
Posted on April 30 2015
We are all about stand out jewelry with a dainty touch. Extremely elegant yet completely unique, we cannot get enough of these beautiful pieces. We called up fellow Brooklynite, Annika Inez, to get the inside scoop on her gorgeous collection.
Introducing: By Boe Jewelry
Hey Gorgeous! President, Aimee Cheshire, loves her by boe earrings. She is wearing the two piece Prism Triangle Earrings.
Hey Gorgeous!: How would you describe By Boe jewelry in a few words?
by boe: Thoughtful and feminine, with subtle edginess.
Hey Gorgeous!: We love how your pieces are non-traditional. What separates your line from most trendy jewelry brands?
by boe: My aesthetic differs a bit from most brands on the market, I always try to put forth genuine designs. The majority of our collection is 14kt gold filled, not gold plated. Though the difference is subtle, it transforms the pieces into the feel of fine jewelry. most people may not be able to pin point it, but the color and sheen is quite different and more beautiful in my opinion.

Hey Gorgeous!: Some people like to layer on bracelets while others like to wear just one special piece. How do you envision women wearing your jewelry?
by boe: I love seeing women mix our pieces with their own jewelry, bringing their own personality to it, whether heirloom, ethnic or what ever it is. Just recently one of our buyers showed me how she had added a antique ruby pendant to our rosewood bead necklace and it worked beautifully.
Hey Gorgeous!: Who are your muses?
by boe: Ah so many...to name a few, Bianca Jagger, Jane Birkin, Lizzie Jagger, Lea Seydoux, Patti Smith, Debbie Harry..Florence and the Machine, Little Dragon. The muse for the upcoming collection is Maria Schneider in the movie "Last Tango in Paris".

Hey Gorgeous!: We got our start in Brooklyn, too! What do you love about Brooklyn, and where are some of your favorite places to go?
by boe: Brooklyn is definitely front and center now in so many ways! Still it is still so much more laid back than Manhattan and I like that feeling. My favorite places are Sunny's in Red Hook, stoop time with friends in Fort Greene, and concerts in the summer at the band shell. This summer I plan to go to Brighton Beach! I've never been and can't wait to eat and drink Russian!
